Set Up Your VPN in Four Steps
Pick your device below. The last step is verifying it actually works — the part most guides leave out.
-
Install the app
Open the App Store listing from our download page and install SecureVPN. It is a normal app install — no configuration profile to sideload.
-
Sign in
Open the app and sign in with the account you created at checkout. If you have not subscribed yet, you can do that from inside the app.
-
Allow the VPN configuration
iOS asks for permission the first time, because a VPN routes all traffic on the device. Approve the prompt with Face ID or your passcode. This is the system asking, not us.
-
Connect, then verify
Tap connect and wait for the status to settle. Then open our IP checker — if it shows a different address and location than before, the tunnel is carrying your traffic.
0 of 4 steps done — your ticks are remembered in this browser.
-
Download the installer
Get the Windows installer from our download page and run it. Windows will ask for administrator permission, which a VPN needs in order to create a network adapter.
-
Sign in
Launch SecureVPN and sign in with your account. The app remembers the session so you do not repeat this on every boot.
-
Turn on the kill switch
In settings, enable the kill switch before you rely on the connection. It blocks traffic if the tunnel drops, so nothing slips out unencrypted during a reconnect.
-
Connect, then verify
Connect, then open our IP checker in a browser. A changed address and location means your traffic is going through the tunnel.

What the tunnel actually does
Illustrative, not a live view of your connection.
Two things this diagram is honest about. The website still sees a request — it just arrives from the VPN server's address instead of yours, which is why logging into an account still identifies you. And the tunnel protects the network path only; what your browser reveals about your device is a separate problem, which the privacy audit measures.
Часто задаваемые вопросы
Which devices does SecureVPN support?
iPhone, iPad and Windows PCs. We would rather list only what we actually ship than pad the list with platforms you cannot download today.
Why does my device ask for permission to add a VPN configuration?
Because a VPN routes every connection on the device, the operating system requires explicit consent before any app can do that. The prompt comes from iOS or Windows, not from us, and it is the same prompt any VPN app triggers.
How do I know the VPN is actually working?
Check your IP address before connecting and again afterwards. If the address and location change, your traffic is going through the tunnel. Our IP checker and privacy audit both show this, and the audit additionally looks for WebRTC leaks that can expose an address even while connected.
Should I leave the VPN on all the time?
On untrusted networks, yes — that is exactly when it matters most. On a network you control the benefit is smaller, though it still stops your internet provider from seeing which sites you visit. The honest answer is that it is a trade-off between privacy and a small amount of speed.
What does the kill switch actually do?
If the VPN connection drops, the kill switch blocks all network traffic instead of letting it fall back to your normal connection. Without it, a brief reconnect can expose your real address to whatever you had open.
